Socially-Distanced Yard Sale Breaks Record

This year's TDS yard sale fundraiser certainly looked different. In order to keep our volunteers and patrons safe, we spaced merchandise out over three neighboring yards. Customers were required to wear masks and use sanitizer when entering the sale.

Given the circumstances, it could have been a lackluster fundraising event. However, thanks to more volunteers than we have ever had, and people's eagerness to shop a good yard sale, we had our most successful yard sale in history!

Between August 6-8, we raised $10,462.50 in sales and donations!! That is almost double our previous record. We could not have done it without the tireless effort of more than 30 volunteers, and the hundreds of shoppers that came to our sale and shopped responsibly. Your support of our mission and the youth of the Mara is humbling. Asanteni sana!
