This past June, our group of volunteer adventurers headed to Tanzania to join Team Nyegina and ascend to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro. Climbing to the top of the tallest freestanding mountain in the world is no easy feat, but with the help of Trek 2 Kili and their excellent guides, every one of the fifteen climbers made it to Uhuru Peak. Not only did the group have a 100% success rate on the climb, they also raised a total of $42,562 to support TDS and the Madaraka Nyerere Library and Community Resource Center. A most sincere thank you and congratulations to the 2019 Kili Climb crew and all the generous donors that supported the climb.
