After hosting a successful ten year anniversary dinner in 2018, we wanted to build a tradition of sharing bits of Tanzania with the community. On October 27, we are partnering with Tavern on Lincoln to host a unique cultural event. The fun evening will include food, drink, games, and storytelling with a Tanzanian inspiration.
The newest restaurant in downtown DeKalb has already received high praise for their great menu and they will be providing a special menu that includes some common ingredients from East Africa, with their own unique fusion twist. Guests will also have a chance to learn more about Tanzania, its people and history, and our work supporting the youth of Mara.
Tickets to the event are $25 per person and include entry to the event from 5-8pm, a buffet dinner, and one drink voucher (21 and over). Thanks to the generosity of Tavern on Lincoln, all proceeds from the event will go to TDS. We hope to see you there!
